Bi-Weeky Event #4: Karaoke Night

Time: February 25th Friday 7pm-10pm
Location: Enkore Karaoke 337 University Way Northeast Seattle, WA 98105
People Attending: 25 (AIESECers+ EP: Christopher Home)
Fee: $6 per person for entire event (we got discounted due to TOSA Membership card)

This is our first Bi-Weekly event this year that’s hosted bu our AIESEC Seattle itself. Since our LC are growing bigger and bigger, we had some newbies who just joined to this big family. It will be great to have a social event that have people come and interact with each other, and get to know each other more. Plus singing is always a great relaxing entertainment that a group of people can do it together!
We booked the largest room In Enkore (room 1) for 3 hours since we have great expectation about the amount of people attending. However, at the beginning of the event, there’s not a lot of people arrived, so we started worry about the attendance and the share of money. Most people arrived in the last 1.5 hour, and the room started to get crowded. The last hour was super intense, full of people singing, cheering, and lots of fun. Due to the diversity of our group, we switch back and forth between Chinese and English mode. An interesting scene was when our potential EP, Mike, singing Chinese songs! Within this big amount of people, we were making sure that everyone get a chance to sing.
We meant to extend for another hour because people came in late and we just got to the actual fun part, however someone reserved the room after 10pm so we can’t. As an alternative, Mark provided his house for after party so about half of the group went to Mark’s house afterward, ending this fun and successful social night!
